About Frasers Group

Frasers Group is a sports and lifestyle retail group that includes iconic brands such as Sports Direct, Jack Wills, and House of Fraser. Founded in 1982, the group is one of the largest in the UK, and employs more than 10,000 people.

The company operates a network of sports stores and fashion brands, including Flannels and House of Fraser, offering a wide range of athletic apparel, footwear, fashion items, and accessories. In addition, it owns sports and fashion brands and has expanded into the health and fitness sector through gym acquisitions.

With increasing demand for e-commerce and creative content across their growing portfolio of fashion brands, Frasers Group’s production team needed to find ways to reduce friction between teams and deliver content quicker than ever – ultimately, increasing their efficiencies so they can achieve their business goals.

Problem

Before implementing Lets Flo, content production at Frasers Group was a long-winded manual process that involved multiple teams and a lot of admin work. Since there were so many interdependencies and projects would only move forward manually via tools like Dropbox and Google Sheets, Frasers Group faced production errors and human mistakes, which led to significant delays.

This process made it impossible to plan and monitor the progress of content production across several brands at once. Scaling up content production was also made difficult, because any attempt to shoot more would be held back by miscommunication between teams, which led to further production errors.

After some investigation, Rima Shah, Frasers Group’s Production Lead, found that teams were losing hours on unnecessary manual tasks, such as image selection after a shoot. That’s where Lets Flo came in.

Solution

1. Tailored Configurations

There’s no one size fits all. Lets Flo understand Frasers Group’s unique challenges and ways of working, and took it up a few notches. With configurations and customisations, Lets Flo ensured the system works for all of Frasers Group’s brands and data.

‘The onboarding process was smooth, we supplied Lets Flo with our data and they configured it within the tool so it just works for us.’ said Rima.

2. Real-time Visibility: End-to-end Content Workflows

Lets Flo enabled Frasers Group to improve and evolve their content production processes with end-to-end content workflows, keeping content production for both e-commerce and creative campaigns on track – so everything is tracked in one place, in real time. From sample management to post-production, the team can now easily self-serve status update, automate follow-ups and access feedbacks and approval with a single source of truth.

3. Budget & Resource Tracking

It goes beyond tracking progress and status. With a dashboard for budgets and content production, organised by brand, Lets Flo made it easy for Frasers Group to understand and review resource allocation in a single snapshot without having to pull information from various platforms manually.

4. Seamless Communications with External Teams

Communicating with different teams and departments can be tricky when there is no centralised solution. After internal teams have onboarded, Frasers Group introduced external agencies and freelancers to utilise Lets Flo to track all progress and shoots, so teams can have visibility into any live updates and changes. Access permissions can be edited for individuals so Frasers Group can allocate the right people to the right projects.

5. Data-driven Strategies

With Lets Flo’s dashboard, Frasers Group gained insights on production data. This allowed them to generate results automatically, understand performance and make data-driven decisions easily. This reduced a large amount of unnecessary manual work when pulling data, so they can now focus on analysing and planning future strategies to drive business growth.

Lets Flo doesn’t compare to any tool we’ve used before: without Lets Flo our process would stay the same and not evolve, so we wouldn’t be able to scale up how much content we shoot, and the quality of our content would decline.

Results

Lets Flo has not only transformed content production, but also ensured Frasers Group can continue to meet the demands of the ever-evolving e-commerce and creative content landscape – all whilst maintaining high production quality and efficiency.

Less manual admin tasks, less human errors

Frasers Group harnessed the power of workflows and automation to reduce manual admin tasks. This not only allowed their teams to focus on creativity and output rather than admin work, but also reduced a lot of human errors.

No more working in silos

With everything centralised under one roof, teams can collaborate more seamlessly than ever. “Frasers Group is the second company where I’m using Lets Flo. Wherever I use the tool, all our teams are really impressed with how intuitive it is to use. I swear by it.” said Rima Shah.

Faster time-to-market

With more streamlined and smooth workflows, getting products and product ranges live can now be done faster than ever. Lets Flo is compatible with many platforms such as Spotify, Capture One and SAP, which makes it easy for data and processes to flow.

Future-proof and scalable processes

Frasers Group has big visions, especially when it comes to growth. That’s why it’s key to use a system like Lets Flo that’s built to scale with them. No matter how many product ranges and brands are added, Lets Flo is designed to handle high volume.

“Lets Flo doesn’t compare to any tool we’ve used before: without Lets Flo our process would stay the same and not evolve, so we wouldn’t be able to scale up how much content we shoot, and the quality of our content would decline.” said Rima Shah

Rima Shah said, “From our teams’ perspective, their day-to-day tasks became a lot easier. Each team was aware of how long each part of the process takes, how much budget they have assigned, and had all product information clearly laid out in front of them.

Lets Flo fit seamlessly into their existing workflows, and became a tool they used every day. Before long, we were using Lets Flo with external contractors and agencies too.”
